ABOUT THE ALEXANDER HOUSE APOSTOLATE

Offering Hope and Healing for Marriage & Relationships

THE CALL

After bouncing back from the brink of divorce and coming to understand and live out God's plan for marriage, Greg and Julie Alexander felt called to create a vehicle that would allow others to experience the same happiness and joy that they discovered in their marriage. They also believe that all we need to know about marriage should be taught in the home (hence the word "house" in the organization's name). It was from the Alexanders' wounds that they began to educate and heal others' marriages.

WHAT WE'VE SET OUT TO DO

Mission: Seeking to put God’s love into action by strengthening marriages, forming families, building community, and offering hope.

Vision: To see a society full of married couples who are living God’s plan for marriage so that the joy, sanctity, and permanence of the sacrament may be realized and preserved.

Goal: To preserve the marriage covenant, build strong families, and lower the divorce rate by helping individuals discover the beauty and grandeur of the vocation to love and the service of life through marriage, family, church, and community. We promote every man and woman's dignity so that the sanctity and permanence of marriage may be realized and preserved.

The Campus

The Alexander House campus is conveniently located and nestled in the quaint town of Bulverde, TX. It is located on 10.5 serene acres that provide lush tree covered prayer garden, the Holy Family outdoor pavilion, Heavenly Grounds Coffee House, St. Joseph's Workshop for presentations and a main building.  The main building houses all of the offices for operations, an audio and video studio, small presentation and dining space, 2 discipling rooms and a chapel.

A Stewardship Organization

Stewardship is a means to an end: evangelization.

The Alexander House Apostolate is a “Stewardship” organization. People typically regard stewardship as a phrase to describe fundraising. However, stewardship is a way of life, where as fundraising is focused on raising money.
Stewardship is the job of supervising or taking care of something. The Alexander House has been called to be stewards of the truths that God, through, the Holy Spirit has given to it and it’s stewards.
As we read in the parable of the talents, we see that the talents did not belong to the servant. In fact, they were given to him by the master. In essence, they were given to be used and not to be wasted. Therefore, our “talents” are not our own and they, too, were given to be shared.
